Project Engage is an intergenerational storytelling experience created to reconnect generations through intentional listening, shared truth, and mutual respect. At its core, Project Engage is about slowing down long enough to hear one another not just to collect stories, but to understand the people behind them.
In this program, students are not simply learning how to ask questions. They are learning how to listen with care, how to sit with someone else's experiences, and how to recognize the responsibility that comes with holding another person's story. Elders are not treated as history lessons or interview subjects; they are honored as living archives whose lives hold wisdom, struggle, resilience, love, and lessons that deserve to be preserved.
